Born in Hilo, Hawaii, raised in Mililani, HI, and currently calls Colorado home. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves nothing more than exploring the mountains of his adopted state. Whether it's hiking, camping, or fishing, Dean is always up for an adventure in the great outdoors. Despite the distance from his birthplace, Dean's Hawaiian roots remain an important part of his identity and he often returns home to reconnect with his family and culture.

In addition to his love of the outdoors, Dean is also a foodie. He enjoys trying new restaurants and experimenting with different cuisines. He is particularly fond of Asian and Pacific Islander flavors, which he grew up with. He has a passion for outdoor cooking and often enjoys preparing meals while camping. He enjoys experimenting with different ingredients and cooking styles, whipping up a new dish for his friends and family to try!
